March successfully completed the design and modifications related to a new belt magnet . The building and the structural steel supporting the magnet had to be modified to accommodate the new magnet. The March team worked very closely with the magnet vendor (Eriez) and the Operations team at Lanigan to provide a practical and cost effective solution. The design and installation of the new magnet resulted in a significant reduction of nuisance trips and an increase in productivity by removing the tramp metal from the ore.
