Nutrien Rocanville, STCI and March cooperated to solve an OHS safety concern involving the installation of conveyor rollers within the moving production belts. The tub guard was conceived to provide separation between the workers installing the rollers and the moving belts and went through two prototype revisions with underground testing before the tub guard design was finalized. STCI fabricated the prototypes as well as the final tub guards so that all miners at Rocanville will have a tub guard installed to protect workers. A total of 11 tub guards were built and installed.
