Our mining group has extensive experience in underground and open pit mining including potash, uranium, base metals and precious metals.
This includes mine modelling, pit design, shaft design and mine planning. Some of the services we offer in the mining and minerals sector include the preparation of feasibility studies, mine optimization analysis, trade off studies, mine troubleshooting, mine planning and asset integrity audits.
March is capable of executing large-scale, multi-discipline projects, from project concept to completion. Our multi-discipline engineering, procurement and construction management personnel are experts in their fields and are able to deliver world class services to your project.
We remain at the forefront of engineering and design technology utilizing the latest software and intelligent 3D modelling capabilities in the mining, geotechnical, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, civil, structural and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) disciplines.
In addition to these services, we also provide secondment services to our clients to assist with short-term projects that arise from time to time. These secondments allow our clients to obtain the expertise needed to complete project work without the need to undergo a difficult and sometimes lengthy recruitment process and commit to a long-term employment relationship.
Potash
Our extensive potash experience includes design and engineered solutions for underground, surface and solution mining, potash processing plant design and loadout optimization. Clients have called on March for ion exchange improvements, compaction and screening design, solution mine wellfield design, brine piping and distribution design, loadout debottlenecking, thickener upgrades, product bin refurbishment, shaft steel inspection and refurbishment and loading pocket and headframe upgrades.
Uranium
March has gained experience in uranium mining and milling from working in some of the richest and most innovative uranium mines in the world including projects involving construction, operations and decommissioning.
Precious Metals, Base Metals & Other Mining
March has gained experience in precious metal and base metal mining from working in gold and copper mines across Canada with clients including Brigus Gold and Hudbay Minerals.
Saskatchewan also has a rich supply of lignite coal in Southeastern Saskatchewan. We have gained experience in coal mining projects from working with clients such as Westmoreland Coal Company.
Our projects with these clients have included all phases of engineering from concept development and design to construction, operations and decomissioning.
